Yea I’m was weaned a Republican l demonstrated the Vietnam war l hated LBJ. I didn’t want to get drafted. My brother had to cringe each time a new draft lottery went bye. Was so relieved when a Republican won following LBJ’s decision not to run for re-election. Nixon ended the war l voted for Reagan twice.
I grew up with a mom that grew up Republican and dad grew up Democratic but he voted who he felt was better. Neither talked about it much so didn't grow up with it jammed down my throats and they didn't watch any of that shit on tv. Out of College, I became a Union President for a company affiliated with the Bethlehem Steel Worker's Union. They jammed the democrat party down our throats at a young impressionable age. I quickly learned with work experience, I was on the wrong side. I will still vote for who is better for my family but I have been on the Republican side for quite a while. Against Bush was the last dem I voted for. I usually stay out of these threads because I think both sides are corrupt and I rather talk sports.
Both my parents were staunch Republicans I’m a military brat so you know military are always to the right. I’ve voted both ways plenty of times l voted MaCain and then voted Obama four years later. But in today’s environment fuvck them all. Can’t even go to the pool here without loudmouths spewing politics I put on my headphones because they may be talking to each other but want all to hear so l don’t give them the satisfaction the fuvcking assholes. Lol
