They never call them explosions anymore. They call it a RUD (Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly).

Both the booster and starship exploded but it was "a successful mission" according to SpaceX.

The goal was to get the booster and starship (sits on top of booster) off the launch pad and to the stage that they separate. This happened. --> Success!

But, then the booster was supposed to fly back down to earth but subsequently experienced a RUD. The starship, went on to nearly the edge of space but also experienced a RUD instead of circling the earth a couple times.

Yeah, love that.
