No cookpot, just a single portable induction range that plugs into a wall outlet. It has temperature control. Most stoves have a constant heat output (medium, med-high, etc) which will cause your pan to keep heating and heating if left on the stove long enough. This device you can set your pan to any temp to a single degree like 367F. It will heat it up to 367F and maintain a constant temp. If you drop food on, the pan temperature might drop 30 degrees, but the range will heat it back up to 367 and then maintain it again. Never scorch a pan again. Can achieve a perfect simmer at 195F for hours with no temperature fluctuations. No more worrying about your cooking oils smoking because your pan got too hot.

Paired with the 7 ply Demeyere Atlantis line, I haven't found a higher performing cooking setup in my research

Wow! This is very cool. Now the price makes sense to me, though I will consider this once I have my own beautiful kitchen.

Do you love to cook, Purple?

Not yet, still in the learning phase. Lots of peanut butter and bread, cereal, frozen dinners, takeout. Gonna be a few decades before I reach anywhere near the level of someone like a maltedhopsfrenzy.

Been learning a lot about cooking from free audiobooks through the Libby app and a portable bluetooth speaker. Great app for anyone interested in checking out audiobooks. All you need is a library card from a participating library.

You could probably dial in your pan temps with an IR thermometer gun and a $100 portable induction range. The cheaper models have temperature control but they are not very accurate. Supposedly work decently with a full pot of liquid but I haven't confirmed for sure. There are still 20 different power levels on this model which will allow you to control the heat more precisely than a traditional gas top stove.

Interesting alternative but a pain in the butt.

I like the induction range. Especially when I am cooking important stuff (i.e. Walter White). :lmao:

You will get there soon. There are also a lot of cooking videos available on Youtube.
