Had a ‘Friendsmas’ day yesterday while watching the Chiefs lose and blow a parlay I had going. Made a twist on all the classics - ‘candied yams’ we added butternut squash, apples, pears, carmelized onions & walnuts. Also added some curry spice for a sweet/savory effect. Do yourself a favor one year and make the green bean casserole with real beans that you blanche first - totally a fresh take instead of using the F***ed out canned ones.

Foolproof turkey - buy the Reynolds wrap oven roasting bag and a digital meat thermometer. Rub the turkey with butter or olive oil & poultry seasoning & seasoned salt. Stuff it with a cut up onion, celery, and herbs, put it in the bag, set the thermometer for 165 degrees, and stick it in the thickest part of the thigh. Cook at 325 until the thermometer goes off - done. You’ll never have dry or under/over cooked turkey again…..
