Probably shouldn't even type this but I'm literally an ab, oblique or back muscle strain or pull away from being completely sidelined here.

I need to be careful.
Take care and so sorry to hear about the elbow, KVB.

I agree with 2th9s, you can continue but definitely not the upper exercise.

don't worry once you've initially made gains, it is way way faster to regain to that set point.

sometimes I deload is also the impetus for a growth acceleration as well. there is a reason periodization is so effective for power lifters and weightlifters.

yeah, last time I took two weeks I didn’t lose any strength at all.

It was really easy to get back to form and eventually up weight a little.

In this last run when the circuit was getting easy and time to up weight, I was also doing not just 15 reps but doing reps for 60 seconds.

It u takes about 40 to 45 seconds to do 15 reps, so I just tried to keep the pace get up to 60 and eventually closer to 90 seconds, regardless of how many reps I accomplish.

Real issue now is appetite as it tuned down when I’m not exercising, add in a broken toe or foot and the first world problem that my office is upstairs and the kitchen is across the house, excuse ect etc etc.

Bottom line is I need to increase my caloric intake so I even got some of munchie strains of bud to help out with appetite.

Problem is you are actually fighting against yourself if you want to gain weight and get stronger. What you are doing is trying to push up your lactic system.

I hear you there, but the truth is I don't need to gain weight, just can't lose it. But doing what I'm doing will undoubedly slowly add weight. But slowly. Not even trying to get stronger, but it will of course happen.

I'm just feeding the metabolism a good, healthy diet, and working out like I've described. I know I cold go for bulking and lift heavier, it sure seems like I can get results like I did when I was younger, they just come a little slower and need more recovery.

My only goal, and I guess I should add to this or rethink it, is to not lose weight. I have that under control. Turns out I'm pretty healthy now, not counting the injuries.

So I should rethink those goals and even if I'm not trying to gain, your point is well taken.

I guess another goal is to get over 60 seconds and closer to 90 at the weights I'm currently lifting.

Turns out all that lost weight this week was just the constant food through my system dwindling down. By eating 3500 calories throughout the day my body is constantly processing food. The drop in weight was just the drop in food being digested.

Ate like a storm yesterday, finally, and already went back to 136.7 pounds. This why I don't worry day to day and only look at the trend.

But it's amazing how much, by percentage, it can fluctuate without me trying to mess with water, like cutting weight in wrestling.

Turns out the fluctuation isn't nearly as significant as I always thought.

This is great news and the foot has improved as well, more great news.
