I've never been married so take this for what it's worth, but I've always believed in a separation of duties between a man and a woman in a marriage. Now some people think "teamwork makes the dream work" on tasks but from what I hear from friends, the two people often butt heads on how a tasks is to be done.

If each is left to the other to do the tasks separately, there is much less strife in a marriage. The reason I think this works is because a partner in the marriage is doing something for the other and this fosters endearment for the other partner.

Of course this doesn't always work. Like I said, take it for what it's worth.
