There's a lot to say but I have surveys to do, potential employers to get back to, liquor to drink, and will probably stop by the casino to sing rock and roll to the slot players.

I will talk to you soon, PERFECT.
You're a busy man, Stevek! Carry on, enjoy, and good luck.

Awesome!

I flew back home from Thailand and Singapore 2 weeks ago and tried a lot of tropical fruit, but other than coconut water and fresh guava juice we had completely different fruit. I hope you don't mind me hijacking your thread with pics of longan and mangosteen. Both were excellent, especially the mangosteen. I didn't eat the shark fins.

Try the dragonfruit next time. You'll love it. You can get it in the hawker centers in Singapore, freshly juiced.

Is there much difference between dragonfruit in Asia vs. America?

Where I live in the northeast pink dragonfruit is pretty bland. Yellow dragonfruit is better, but still not one of my favorites. I don't know if that's the nature of the fruit or because I can't get it picked ripe.

Not at all 2the9s. Please feel free to post more of your photo adventure here.

OMG!!!!!!! Mangosteen yes! That fruit is a bit pricey in PH, not sure about the longan fruit, I don't think I already saw or tried longan, but it looks like lanzones. Is it sweet?

I don't recognize the one on the bottom pic. What is that?

Longan is similar to rambutan except the husk never sticks to the fruit. It varies a lot from fruit to fruit, but usually it's sweet and floral tasting, a bit like liquid allspice imo.

The bottom pic is a food stall in Thailand selling shark fin soup. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Eating it seemed like a great way to get mercury and pcb poisoning while on vacation, so I passed.

Looks like I would love this longan. Hope to find one someday so I can taste it.

OMG! Shark fin for real? So, looks like it's not even prohibited to kill sharks there. No, I will also definitely going to pass on that.

You're there for pleasure or for business?
