Hopefully this will be a Glasnost type situation where social liberalization snowballs into greater and greater change... It's also nice to see a positive news story for a change.

I was sorry to hear that they're executing some protesters.

Think this is the second time the young Irianians have protested in the last 1/4 century.

Its strange to see such a strict Muslim culture in one place; and a little ways away the more open country of Quater.

I feel bad for all the Persians who don't have their noses shoved all the way up the theocracy's ass.

The bravery of the protesters is inspiring to me. I just saw an article that 24 of them are set to be executed by the state, but they keep protesting. As for lasting change, there are a lot of young people in Iran's military...

Wow! This is very sad. This will not make people fear but angrier and this could spark even bigger demonstrations.
