One might point out that if a book is giving you 10% rebates, it’s because they want you to continue to lose to them. Sure, get them when you can, where you can, for whatever brief period you can. But if you’re getting those rebates long-term, you are most likely a long-term loser.

In on the Oliver horses. Only bet $10 to win on each, until we see signs of life:

Ward has the fave in here, but the horse has lost all four of its starts as chalk. On top of that, it’s coming off an 8 month layoff. Seems like a fave we should try to beat. Trainer Blair (#7) is a guy I usually follow at Tampa. He opted for Turfway instead and had a bad meet. He’s a solid trainer, so gotta think (hope) he has one or two ready to run, either at Kee, or in two weeks at Churchill.

Foley barn usually starts rolling end of Kee/beginning of Churchill. Horse had a really strong debut at 21-1. Should be sharper today off that effort.

This Gorder guy got hammered at the windows when he first started showing up on the Ky circuit. He didn’t win much, so the bettors and line makers don’t pay attention now. My theory is he was getting bet for a reason back then (skill or juice), so will stick with him at prices.

Race 6
$20 win #7 Lily’s Creed 20-1
The Scherer family heyday has gone away. Merrill retired, one of his sons died. But they all used to blow up the board on both the Ky circuit and Louisiana. They still know their way around horses, so I still pay attention at big prices.
