I guess it great to be different Le, i guess one of my problem here i use to go to a lot of races with the wood brothers here and road courses i guess it ok for tv, but it just boring to me, i use to go to road Atl and it was just not my thing i guess, i could not wait to leave and go party in ATL
yeah honestly, i dont know many people who are still into road racing, but like i always say different strokes for different folks so i get it. i'm sure that party was super fun afterwards in atl hahah

well 1. crime in the areas. and 2. i could see how it could harm the people in the area, especially if they are closing down lower income neighborhoods for a couple of weeks. it'll affect businesses, especially people that rely pay check to pay check
Wow. I did not know it was in the lower income neighborhood. It sounds a little like the City is making decisions on location based on who they can push around. I bet if they said they were going to do the race in Lincoln Park area of Chicago, the lawyers, judges, and policians would sue and say... "Not in my neighborhood".

Doing it in a poorer district means no pushback.

I guess one upside is that the road course will get street upgrades of some type. I'm sure the city isn't spending a lot of money on streets in poorer neighboorhoods.

Just tying to find a silver lining.

Also, I think the majority of drivers are upset about it because they aren't road course drivers (there are exceptions). They've driven in Xfinity, Camping World Truck racing in circles growing up. Now they have to learn to "turn right" more often. Many realize the more road races they have the fewer changes they have to make the chase.

exactly, the same things happened during F1 in miami. lower income neighborhoods shut down for the races, meanwhile all the big cats are at the races living it up

exactly. i was also reading somewhere that the spokesman said chicago needs to fix their crime before any races because 68 people were shot on the 4th of july alone
