Rudy, please don't ruin your good record of being right on theories. Nothing here to see but a 20 year losing gambler who goes on incredible hot and cold streaks like very few. Never been an owner or paid poster before. Never played in BTP contests and didn't join SBR until fall of 2020 around same time 5D went down for USA. I was at Cappersmall those years until they stiffed members and was on a dayshift schedule so didn't use forums much past 10 years besides joining pay contests. Was very active in forum life the 10 plus years prior.
In July of 2020, I got brutally assaulted by a Psych Pt whose was in a psychosis that he was in the marines and at War. Staff were the enemy. I got jumped and went temporarily paralyzed. They had to cut the scrubs off off me, put me in a neck brace, and balloon me off the floor. Scary for all involved and laying there not being able to move hearing screams from co-workers and other Pts crying. I was not the only one injured. It has been hard because I love my job, Pts, and my co-workers and not being there when they need me most with the Covid shortages. I am good at what I do. The assault was a blessing and saved my life. That is how they found the cancer. I went from working 3-5 12 hour shifts a week to needing a cane to walk and having a shit bag in a snap of a finger. Life is short man. I was fortunate I was able to have the second surgery and remove the shit bag 2 months later. Next week I start a 12 week work program and will hopefully be cleared after that to finally be able to return to my unit and continue to help those that are acutely ill.
I don't have many working years left being 48 and already having Multiple Sclerosis and now this. I know one thing though, being home 24/7 and not being able to be active sucks. I am use to working a lot of overtime and being able to afford to do anything for me and my family. After what I have been thru, I don't think I ever want to retire full-time. Being home will kill you. Forum life once again has helped me and gave me a social life I needed getting me thru a tough time. I thank you all for that. We are all here for one reason or another and why I can't stand seeing the hate back and forth.
