Week 2. I have both entries still alive

Phily -7 home to Vikings.
Bills -10 home to Vegas
SF -8 at RAMS
Lions -6 home to Seattle
Cowboys home to Jets.....waiting on updated line

Don't love Lions in this spot, I still want to see the identity of the team
Bills should be able to open up the offense this weekend
SF goes against my pick all home teams starategy
Cowboys might be good pick going up against Zack Wilson
Phily solid option

Jets/Dallas - I'm seeing other books updating the lines at -9 now.

Good luck on week 2, Sam!

The chalk this week seems to be Bills and Cowboys. I like Detroit too because I think they're legit and Seattle just might be as horrible as they looked in week 1. Everybody going with Bills and Cowboys this week and that's what I wound up penciling in so far because I don't see either of those teams losing at home this week but its the NFL and there are no sure things.

yea biggest favorites of the week always most popular pick for obvious reasons especially in a win scenario not cover spread

eventually though those big favorites will lose and the goal is to not have that team that week. Sneaking in some lower ranked teams is the key to surviving longer

Week 3. I still have both entries alive. Tons of options here

SF -10.5 home to Giants. SF arguably top 3 team in NFL. Saquan out for Giants. Wild come back against worst team in league. No reason to think Giants can win Thursday

Baltimore -8 home to Indy. Great option especially if Richardson is ruled out. Granted Minchew Mania could spark some fireworks. Baltimore solid 2-0 start, no reason to think they lose at home

Jax -9.5 home to Texans. Personally I lost last year on this exact pick Jax at home to Texans. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice.......Jax should roll at home. Hopefully they aren't looking ahead to London

Miami -6.5 home to Denver. I love the Miami offense. Denver defense gave up tons of points last week. I think there will be better opportunities for Miami aka Jets later in season

Buffalo -6.5 AT washington. Personally I hate this pick. I actually like Washington in this game especially with the points. This goes against my don't pick an away team rule. Onl reason I'm typing out this game is b/c it's a bigger spread

KC -13 home to Bears. not much to say here. Clear and obvious why line is so high. This comes down to use KC now or save for later

Dallas -12 at Arizona. Again, obvious choice here, goes against my away team rule. I can easily save Dallas for later

7 spreads of 6.5 or higher. 5 home teams that fit my strategy

entry #1 I am using Jax. I haven't made any changes to that entry that I picked all 18 weeks pre season. Keeping that going for now

Entry 2. Looking ahead to week 4 which is tougher, SF plays home to Arizona. However I already have SF penciled in for entry #1 and I don't want to double pick a team and get fukked.

so I think for now, I am going to lock in SF for entry #2

202 entries left out of 317

good luck to anyone else playing

Pretty obvious for me this week its the Chiefs and Niners and then move on. Only problem is you're right there are so many other intriguing options that you could opt to save the better teams for later this week but I'd rather just ensure that I survive and I think the Chiefs and Niners should win this week.

exactly, "saving" a team only works if you advance

I think it's too early to worry about saving a team. Plenty of good teams still left even if you use either or both the Chiefs and Niners this week. I think for me I'm going to focus on making it to week 4 and I don't see either of those teams losing this week.
