I don’t know if it’s the 2 yard pass all the time, all the penalties, mediocre quarterbacks, poor coaches or are
defenses just way ahead

Not interested in kickoffs. The NFL is too many show-offs, too little show. Too many professionals exploiting rules written by amateurs. The NFL is trying to make the product look better by reducing irrelevant penalties on irrelevant plays. However, this gives the impression they call penalties to manufacture a game script - which is more harmful than just calling all the penalties.

It's like a film where all the actors are now so highly paid they can decide on their own dialogue and character motivation. I guess it's progress on a social scale, but it makes for a lousy film.
