Pimike. I am the expert here. I have lived in Vietnam for 8 years. I speak Vietnamese. I also had an apartment in Shenzhen, China for 4 years as well. I spend a lot of time in China. I travel all over SEA and know the scene and the girls. You will not find hotter girls anywhere in the world than Taipei but for me. Vietnam has the best girls in the world. I am not into Thai girls, not into their facial features whatsoever. Koreans are really hot and a lot of Chinese too. However, it doesn't get any better than Vietnamese.... I am speaking just on a general level, not massage level. However, when you come to Hanoi, I will show you a world you never knew existed when it comes to massage girls, blow job cafes, etc etc, it will blow your mind .

not fluently, i know simple sentences or just ket words. i havent been around the viet language for a bit cause my ma speaks to me in english. she says it's much easier and quicker to get your point across
I am an American but I will never live here again. I come back once a year to visit. Vietnam is the most beautiful country with such warm loving people. The best beaches, food, travel, there is nothing not to like. Do you speak with the northern or southern accent? I speak with the Northern accent, it always trips people out because, most foreigners you will meet will speak from the south. I love all of Vietnam but I would never live in the south or Saigon, it is too westernized. I live in Hanoi.

my mom is from Hanoi. we've all been wanting to go visit and see where she grew up but never had the chance yet. my dad fought in vietnam, and thats where he fell in love with the vietnamese people.

i dont blame you for not wanting to live here. i plan on leaving here soon again, but most likely back to costa rica. do you plan on being in vietnam for the rest of your life? or do you plan on traveling/moving somewhere else?

I will die in Hanoi, as you know learning Vietnamese is probably the hardest thing one can ever do. I have spent years on the language. I have no desire to learn another language. I love the people with a passion, the lifestyle is amazing, it's the safest country you can possibly imagine. I love the beaches, it puts anything Hawaii has to offer to shame. They are passionate about gambling and their soccer team too. I go to all the games, it gets insane there....I am a resident there, not just a tourist, I have become a part of the society and my neighborhood where I live. I have a thriving business there as well. You could not pay me to move anywhere else in the world. Hanoi, Vietnam is the best place on earth. Keep in mind, I am born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA which is pretty much heaven but Hanoi is the place for me. I get excited whenever I talk to someone about Vietnam especially Hanoi, it has a special place in my heart!

thats so amazing. i did try learning vietnamese, but it is indeed a very complex language. i wish my mom taught me as a baby rather than trying when i was a teenager. props to you for sticking to it, but the passion really does make it easier and more enjoyable. i definite'y need to go visit now. i know my cousins are in vietnam visiting family right now, but they are in Saigon

Saigon is cool just not my thing, I love to go there and travel but I would never live there. Most foreigners you meet prefer Saigon than Hanoi if they are picking a city to live in. It is kind of like SF to LA, you have people that like one more than the other and are passionate about it. I don't know if you ever saw this but look what Bourdain had to say about Vietnam, especially Hanoi, I feel the same way. Vietnam was his favorite place in the world.

I have been all over Vietnam, many times. There has not been a place I have not been. I rode my motorbike from Hanoi to Saigon and back. I prefer Phú Quốc or Phan Thiết for beaches though. Check out Ninh Bình, I go there often, they filmed the movie Kong there.... There is no place in Vietnam, I have not been. I am a huge fan of Cần Thơ, it is such a cool place.
