He's a former player at Georgetown who played for a legendary coach John Thompson while at Georgetown plus the fact that Georgetown is a very liberal school who probably doesn't want to fire a black coach who played at their school. Someone could say otherwise, but I have no idea what the other ideas would be.
Totally makes sense, GoBlue05. I just wonder how he can sleep at night with these losing games.

Hoya Paranoia of the 1980s was something to watch. Hell, even up to the Iverson days in the 1990s it was special. Never thought you'd see them fall to these depths.
It's really time for his era to end.

Well he finally did it. It sure helps to play a team like DePaul, but Ewing finally broke the streak. Any way he survives into next season? I would call it crazy, but not impossible. I guess his only hope would be another conference tournament victory like back in 2020-2021 when they were near the bottom and won the conference tournament. Who would they even look to hire is another question if they rightfully let him go?

He's got to be let go. This is likely their only conf win this season. If it happened anywhere else and you'd be fired.

Clearly he's not recruited well and he's been there 6 seasons. No value in keeping him.

He was a tremendous player in college and pro, but always underachieved when it came to Championships. Hoyas we’re DOMINANT back then, but still lost 2 out of the 3 Championship games they played.
