Looks like last week when the cut line moved away from Hojgaard late, this time it did happen a little earlier but looks like it's going to be -2. Hojgaard doing well this week, He was almost a play, but just outside that perceived traget circle for value.
Sometimes trying to make the winning bet instead of the bet that wins can get frustrating (mostly because of patience issues but also because of passing on plays that you see do well) and I can say that there is room to widen that circle, in my opinion. I might consider that and also track these fringe type plays to see how well the do.
These last two weeks are similar so the outlook, or golfers that stood out, was similar, it's the market that I saw as changed. J.T. Poston was one of those that rated high both weeks.
Denny McCarthy might as well have been Jenny McCarthy out on the golf course, as far as that goes as he missed the cut.
Getting to the good weather weekend and making it to moving day is important for these plays. No guarantees but these are the days that my approach is designed for and it would have been awesome to have all four guys there.
But 3 out of 4 is better than none and I hope we can get Poston and one other, I wouldn't mind that. I did not take Poston in top 30, as high as he is rated, it's going to be tough for me to find value if we are laying for a position like DK Top 30.
Things I talked about like "better than" and dead heat rules at different houses, which has been brought up as well, start to add up and laying a -115 doesn't seem to work out.
I know I rambled a bit but I want be transparent in my thinking and keep hitting these weekly golf threads, in next season too, so we can
all not only track, but remind ourselves of and maybe learn something new about golf or gambling in general, from the psychology in the 2nd paragraph I wrote above to results of testing at percentages across the board, like -115.
