The Pirates are resting the top of their pitching rotation in this series. Seems like they might be punting this series over to the Phillies as the divisional Cardinals are next. Philly is 15-4 when Nola starts with 11 wins by +2 or more. They are also 7-1 on his road starts, with 6 wins by +2 or more.

The Pirates are 2-10 in the last 12 starts made by Martin Perez as he is 1-5 on decisions with the ERA of 5.15. A fair amount of Phillies have good splits on him. Nola’s ERA on the road is a respectable 3.33, which I expect to improve as he has 5 straight quality starts. I see a 6-2 game here opening up the first game of the second half.

Well that has happened to everyone at some point. Large periods tell me if its worth it for me, and just barely it is. And your better than me.

But Nola is the type of vet who will do better with an 8 day break from outings. M.Perez i just saw him on mlb the show and couldnt believe hes still around. I like the middle of the phil lineup vs him a lot
