Opening line he says “Vegas wears on your soul“ lol I couldn’t imagine living in Las Vegas full time. He starts to name drop in the intro playing craps with celebrities probably bullshit.

Definitely interested in reading Stanford Wong‘s even plus books on gambling as he did. I also agree with him that college football is much easier than the NFL on point spreads with more inefficiencies, which makes sense because there’s about 75% more games in a season.

I call bullshit on him splitting profits with his buddy on the credit accounts he had from local bookies, 50% seems like a far stretch. I do like the fact his passion is always seeking out advantage play & growing as a sports bettor in his career decade by decade. I want to believe I can relate to that.

He says he doesn’t watch a lot of sports and he’s typically just a numbers guy trying to find inefficiencies from square to sharp books in the marketplace. I think this is wrong you need to be watching these games and getting a feel for these teams on a week to week basis.

You need to do both IMO not just the numbers and staring at screens all day. Now I know there’s some posters on this forum that would disagree with me and that’s fine. Anyways overall this was a good interview thanks for the suggestion @Ace7550 .

I watch sports, but usually after I've crunched the numbers and made my plays based strictly on math. This may be one spot where we have different approaches.
Do you think it's unethical to place bets through other people when you get limited by a place like draftkings?

It’s against the rules.

all books say you can’t share accounts or be part of a syndicate

however it’s up to them to catch you and they do catch some

I am exactly the same Ace. I crunch data and make my plays then watch games for the enjoyment.

Also, I think its funny when people say, "Those who watch the games are not good at capping". Why would I not so something I enjoy??? WTH. Does JJ think I'm giving up sex because he says it interfere's with your capping prowess? :ROFLMAO:

Right. But exactly where is the line drawn between syndicate and gambling with your friends?
Some shops practically beg me to sign my friends up and offer me bonuses for doing so.

Sex definitely improves capping abilities. Keeps the mind limber :grrr:

Almost all well known Adv Players do it. Billy Walters had dozens of runners.

Books don't allow it but they also do very shady stuff too, like limit Adv Players, slow pay (or no pay), so I guess all is fair in this battle with the books.

No, I don’t think that’s unethical at all, don’t know if I’ll ever reach that status myself lol.

Simple answer: No.
If you find an edge in sports betting you keep it to yourself. Maybe you share it with a couple close friends. But no edge lasts forever. The more people expoiting it the quicker it will be gone.
The last thing I would do is post a video about it.

They beg you to sign them up, but if you all start making the same bets, especially circumventing limits, as well as besting the markets, they will sniff it out even if there is no profit.

You have to be aware of the cat and mouse game.

This! Edges never last.
You have to keep digging up new ideas. I think the Captain Jack in the video mentioned that.

Ace I think you are a brother from another mother. Your posts make me feel that we've traveled the same road. (y)

I think I mention not broadcasting your edges in the intro video to the business that I made.

But that doesn't mean you can't help curious bettors develop their own edges, or at least give them a start.

First step is to be aware of pitfalls and all the nonsense that leads bettors to lose before they can win.
