2) You're right about Franklin. Guy loves to schedule light and bully. His track record is so stark in games versus Mich/OhioSt and everything else.

...Might be fair to say that it matters MORE. Style-points matter. There's a scenario where a lot of teams get to 10-2 @ the end of year, and it's a beauty contest. In the case of PennSt, you want people to point to your PPG and ability to demolish.

I think you're spot on with your assessment. All Franklin has is style points. He never wins anything big. To bolster your assessment, right now PSU has a 69% chance to reach the 12 team College Playoff.

That's better than every team in the country except Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Notre Dame.

EDIT: To add to this, Franklin is going to make sure he obliterates the small teams for those style points. This is PSU's home opener. Don't worry about the points is my advice. They're going to kill this team.

One thing I’ve learned over the years about these big spreads early it seems is the first team guys have to play perfectly.

Meaning they have to score TDs instead of fg’s almost every time they get into the red zone.

Settling for fg’s on just a couple of real good drives can doom a big spread, especially if the underdog somehow gets lucky and scores a touchdown or maybe a TD and fg or two of their own

Good points but you have to understand this about James Franklin.

I was thinking about taking Penn State because Franklin likes to beat up on weak teams but he's 18-16 ATS on spreads more than 20 although he was 5-1 ATS last season in that spot. Maybe he's being more serious in the games.

This is the great thing about BMR - seriously high level of winners being shared here - between KK and the prop winners - and several others sharing winning picks been on a nice little run of late - building larger and larger wagers each time.

Yesterday started with Sinner - made some live bets at around -400 and won. Rolled that into Eagles play that I liked along with Cle/LAD u5 f5 and u9 game to keep it going.

Today it’s gonna be PSU -34 as well as JDS’s pick of Pitt +2 and some Texas -7.

Was hoping Texas got a little lower - but don’t see it.
