Some key stats mainly H2H:

Slam totals: Joker 23, Rafa 22. small advantage Joker

H2H overall regardless of venue: Joker 30 Wins, Rafa 29 Wins. small advantage Joker.

Slams H2H overall: Rafa 11 Wins, Joker 7 wins. Big advantage Rafa.

This debate is not closed by any stretch.

Word is Rafa hip surgery went well and he should be back for 2024.

Sammy your guess is as good as mine.

His hip issues not as bad as Andy Murray's but we have seen that since January 2019 when Andy got the surgery, he cannot sniff anything past the 3rd round at a major. Kudos to him for trying though.

Rafa's injury not as bad though and the surgery less extreme to the hip.

Let's see how many reps Rafa can get prior to 1/1/2024 lead up to the Aussie.

If he can get to all 4 slams healthy, then maybe he can take RG. I don't know.

Good thing with clay is tons of tune up events

the negative is rafa’s ranking. He will get wild cards/ protected rankings to every tournament but he will be randomly drawn. Not seeded

some firework potentials R1 R2 matches 2024

I could tell from the excuses you were making for JOKER today that you are a fan of his and you hate RAFA. It was clear.
I think you have me confused with someone else. I never mentioned Rafa once today except for the joke I made earlier in this thread.

And yes I was definitely pulling for Joker today and analyzing his play throughout the match like many were because I had a future that would have paid me $1,310 if he would have won.

8 of Rafa’s 11 grand slam wins against Joker were on clay. 14 of his 22 grand slam titles were on clay. Novak has won all 4 slams at least 3 times. Rafa only won 2 of them at least 3 times.

I don’t like one more than the other and the gap is certainly not large but if there’s only one GOAT it has to be Djokovic.

no you were making excuses today, it was you.

you gave no credit to Alca. you put it on Joker this, Joker that.

he got beaten in "his house" on one of his two best surfaces.

a GOAT discussing a GOAT. who would want more than that?

well said, and tough to argue.

What’s wrong with you? Not sure where this is coming from. I’ve never had a problem with you. In fact I usually enjoy your input over the years.

I’m not going to argue with you.

If I’d have had a huge future on Alcaraz I would have been commenting on the match from his point of view. Analyzing his strengths and weaknesses. Pulling for him the whole way like I was with Joker today.

Anyway take care man. Muting you now
