I'm only 5'8... I'm here for Shorty for us everywhere!
I so wish I was 5'5 or under. My job caused so much wasted time and punches thrown my way that didn't need to happen. 2 options hurt your back or piss off the old Marine with Dementia raising his bed up and down like he was on a roller coaster 4 times a night. Stealth mode and a sore back it was for some. Really miss working with our Veterans. Gonna have to get into Volunteering for them out here.

You on the Shap/De Minaur match?? If the Aussie would have held serve at 1-1 than it would have been smooth sailing as Shap would have been deflated. Now might go 3 and be a sweat

I didn't play it at all. Shap numbers-wise measures up very well, and he had the home court thing and all, but I dunno I've been burned a few times betting matches either side with de Minaur. Looking forward to tomorrow there's some great matches on the board.

I'm sure I'll see something else eventually. But in addition to Schwartzman from yesterday, today I like:

ATP Montreal - 8/9/2022
Emil Ruusuvuori +150 vs Hurkacz

This one will probably seem like a strange pick for some. Ruusuvuori did just beat Hubert Hurkacz in Washington last week as a dog, and conventional logic says a top 10 player like Hurkacz gets his revenge in this spot here.

I really do like this kid Ruusuvuori though. Last week, there were not a lot of break opportunities. If I remember correctly, there might have only been one break point in the whole match - at least only one conversion. That's the kind of match Ruusuvuori needs. Hurkacz does have the stronger serve. Ruusuvuori just needs to hold. Hurkacz likes to attack for winners, and he makes a good number of unforced errors in the process. I think if Ruusuvuori feels confident in his ability to serve, he can rest on his heels and attack the Hurkacz service game in its weak moments. He did a good job keeping the mistakes to a minimum last week, and I don't think that changes here. Between the two players, I do think Ruusuvuori has the stronger return game, though admittedly not by much. Wouldn't be shocked to see 2 or even 3 tiebreaks decide this one. In a match like that, give me + money all day.

I'll keep checking tabs as the day goes along to see what else I might like and keep anyone interested posted.

Edit: Guess there were 4 break points for Hurkacz that he just couldn't put away. Doesn't change my faith in the kid though. I think the kid is a solid-enough hardcourt player to take down a top 10 once again.

Just saw Madison Brengle at +8.5 and I thought someone over at Bookmaker must be high. I haven't paid much attention to Coco Gauff in a while but damn, that chick is getting swole. Not betting against her. She's gonna be a monster when she hits 21.

I kinda like the over 21.5 games in the Nick Kyrgios - Sebastian Baez match. No play yet, but the wheels are turning. Baez is a little dangerous in his return game, but I mean let's get real he's probably not gonna break Kyrgios. The Baez service game is a little suspect, but Nick doesn't do so hot in his own return game unless he's playing the big time players. Otherwise, I think he gets a little lazy in his return game. That makes me hopeful for at least one tie-break, but I dunno if I can really pull the trigger. He could easily win this match 6-3, 6-2 if he wants to... all depends on how he feels about how he was portrayed in Washington.

Of course, there's a hope Baez can steal a lucky break and I could lay a little live juice and take Kyrgios straight up. But damn, he's such a headcase - he could just get butthurt and blow his top. But I think he's still got a bit to prove if he wants to be seen as a legit contender in New York.

You nailed this write-up but just didn't work out for us. You would think 1 tie-break. I lucked out with the +4.5 but thought the kid could take a set. i gladly won my cash bets on +4.5 and lost my free play on the over 2.5 sets and the kid plus 1.5 sets

Stayed off the Hurk match as i still remember his great hard court season maybe 2 years ago that brought hi to the spotlight. I love his Volley and serve and Nick showed how important it is here. Hurk is no where near form and your price is right. gL!!

I couldn't bring myself to bet, luckily. Kyrgios and Medvedev in a round 2 match. That's gonna be epic!

Nick is playing better tennis than anyone in the world right now. It's good to watch. And while still a headcase and cranky, he's less so. I think it's the girlfriend.
