The two faves in the race are trained by Mott and Clement, two trainers that do not do well with 2 year-old dirt sprinters. Good time to take a shot at a price. Duggan used to be decent with 2 year-olds here once upon a time, and his barn has showed some signs of life this far.

Ferraro does his best work up here when the horse is going second time over the course. I usually prefer a little shorter layoff from Ferraro horses, but at 20-1 I’m not going to get picky. If it loses today, will look to play it again if it returns before the end of the meet.

I’ll forgive the effort first over the course. Horse jumped up at the start, spotting the field a bit of a head start. The overall efforts was good, taking the poor start into consideration. In Carlos Martin we trust.

2-7 exacta was a liitle light for a 6-1 over 8-1but the field was small so we will take it....I was gonna play $10 straight tri's 2-5-7 2-7-5 but got shut out....oh well ill take a nice 6-1 horse all day every day. Carry on boys
