Sounds like he should have taken the parents out instead of ppl at school

But it could be he was being picked on and bullied at school too
Crazy parents end up having crazy kids.

My only question rn is.. where is the family of his parents? How come no one took care and saved him from that troubled family?

Sorry - to me it’s pretty damn simple.

IF you have a 14 year old who has made threats against anyone - much less threatening to shoot up a school - you DO NOT need a weapon in the house. Certainly not a rifle with a high capacity magazine.

Rifles are fun - but keeping one as “home security” is as stupid of an excuse as you can make. Last thing you want at home is something that penetrates walls - your attacker is in the same room with you.

14 year olds aren’t stupid - they can access stuff you thinks secured.

Idiot parent here.

Nothing more likely to alter history than a group of displaced white men. By far, historically speaking, the most likely to align & change the course of events.

Pilgrims
Cromwell
1776
2nd Reich
1861
3rd Reich
Weathermen
Jan 6

It won't be much longer and the current US societal change & priority of minority 1st, women 1st, international economic safety 1st...all that will change either JFK style or end of Weimer Republic.

Who knows - in general addicts wear out their welcome with family pretty quickly.

Where is CPS ? Courts want to ensure “parental rights“ - but when the parent sees a kid as a paycheck - it’s time to step in.

Weak ass courts / overburdened

He should have - but the bullied will always go after the “weaker” in general..they tend to avoid confronting their tormentors.

It is a vicious cycle - kid gets bullied - in turn bullies weaker kid to gain a feeling of control and power lost.

This is nuts. You speak like someone who has never seen a home invasion before. A gun/rifle is in your home to protect you and your family.

You said 14 year old aren't stupid. Then put the blame where it belongs..on the kid.

If your home ever got invaded you would pray to have a gun.

Kinda the opposite - I’ve investigated several and worked with many members of law enforcement over the years.

I’m not saying a weapon isn’t your friend in a break in - I’m saying rifles aren’t :

- Attacks are very rare. Most intruders ARE NOT looking to kill/injure you. They want to get in an out quietly with as much value as they can.
- Any weapon is likely to send a surprised intruder running - again, most don’t want to fight - they want to get out alive.
- That .1 percent of invasions that involve a mental/drug induced crazy who WILL attack - you want a handgun. A rifle is great for setting up a shot at a target 100 yards away. It’s horribly awkward to handle and shoot if a 12x12 room. Ever try shooting a long gun with someone running at you from 10 feet away ? Takes 2 seconds to set and shoot and a nutcase attacker can cover that ground in half that. Either something’s delaying them to give you time or it’s worthless.

A handgun is what you need here - ideally one you can control. 9mm is probably minimum - it will slow someone down for sure. .38 will carry a little more - .45 will drop most anyone who is under 6’7/350# - but again you want ACCURACY first - then power. This is why you need to practice a ton - instinct takes over and muscle memory. Ever price .45 ammo ? Ever shoot an hour with one ? Guarantee you will see the benefits of a 9mm Glock after shooting for a while - cost/ease and reliability.

Shotgun works if you have time as accuracy is eliminated - hell of a lot easier when you have a wide spray - but again long gun/short run makes it tough.

Last thing you want is something that can go through drywall easily - especially say when you have a child in the next room sleeping. Your job is to defend against the attacker - not assume there are 6 more hiding in the next room. Way too high of a chance of innocent victims.

Ideally you own a handgun and have practiced with it. If not - run/hide should be first 2 choices - fight is the last option in an invasion. Your attacker may have a plan - the fact you don’t gives them an advantage.

And no excusing the kid here.

But to say it’s 100% on him and his underdeveloped brain and to say the dumbass who shouldn’t have had a rifle in that house for any number of reasons holds no responsibility is wrong.

I am 100% pro gun. I just think they should not be in the hands of irresponsible people. That’s clearly who we had here. It makes everyone who owns a gun look bad - just like every small dick riding around in a jacked up pick up or mall crawler annoys truck owners.

Yes he's still alive. I'm kind of surprised they didn't take him out

Police brutality/overuse of force.

Keep in mind there’s bodycam of everything - moment they decide to over react and engage a non combative kid who peacefully surrendered / kiss their careers goodbye and say hello to a multi millionaire of a meth head parent for their “poor kid” being killed by police.

Way different world than 30 years ago - was a time cops shot first and examined later - using military logic in their thinking “ammos cheap - life is valuable” - no more. Now they are expected to be counselors and avoid any casualty to a criminal whenever possible - almost to a fault.

Depends on the state & which party is running it

In Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Wyoming, and several other great states, you can kill a criminal/menace to society in self defense or other scenarios, and get a pat on the back - as you should

Agreed - but Florida/Texas - a lot depends on WHERE you are and the optics of the situation.

Even TN - what flies in the majority of the state likely won’t in Memphis or Nashville.

White cop - young black shooter - forget it, it’s a no win - there WILL be a riot if that occurred in a major city.

Ditto immigrant shooter in say Houston/Miami.
