I accidentally had two sportsbetting.ag accounts, one that I had opened a year ago and forgot about and apparently a new one. I never use bonuses, so it can’t be viewed as bonus abuse, this was a complete accident. They locked my account and not only stealing the money I won, but are refusing to refund my deposits. I’m actually speaking to a representative over the phone that stated that since I used my deposit to wager, I can’t even have my deposits refunded.
I know this isn’t a scam sportsbook, but this is completely unreasonable.

They’re just going to steal my money. Even when I’m speaking to a representative over the phone — I asked to think rationally. If I were a player that constantly opened up new accounts to take advantage of a welcome bonus, that be one thing, but I don’t use any bonuses period. Look, it is only 4,000, not 50,000 so while im pissed, I’m not going to cry over it. It is completed BS, but it is what it is.

lol I also have a pending wager on the cardinals tonight for 1k. They won’t tell me what’s happening with that wager either. It’s quite comical, when I’m speaking to a representative, I state you do realize that you’re being completely irrational and essentially stealing from me right? They just say, well sir.. I’m sorry you feel that way. I’ve even calmly explained the mistake wanting to still use the sportsbook and they’re just steadfast on stealing my money and that’s managements decision and the decision is final.

I deposited in the older one and never the “newer one” the newer one that I had opened had the deposit feature disabled.
The last deposit on the older one was October of 2023.
Did you place any bets with the older account since October of 2023?

How could you forget that you had an account with them if you just deposited to them last October?

I didn’t at all. I made one bet last year and forgot about it. How did I forget? I started using non offshore sportsbooks and I forgot. I’m not even trying to bad mouth the book, technically, yes I broke a rule (unknowingly) but I was no beneficiary of anything related to having the two accounts. I’ve been using offshore for nearly 15 years, this has happened to me one other time with BAS. All they did was close one of the accounts and let me continue playing on another. Sportsbetting.ag is insistent on just confiscating my money.

This is my account. I have a pending wager on the cardinals. If the cardinals win, I would have an account balance of 5,000, if they lose I would have 2900. I also had 3 entries in the NFL contest that costed me $90 lol.

All right obviously I can't draw a concrete conclusion without doing a proper arbitration, but this seems like bullshit on their part. I've never used them and this will tend to keep me away.

I agree. I’m not totally going apeshit as it could’ve been a lot worse. I have 50-60k balances in other sportsbooks. If they decide to steal from me this thread should act as a deterrent for others.

Ok - as presented - this one is fairly easy to voice an opinion on.

- You deposited and placed a wager. Book is correct “no refunds”. Money was placed in account and wagering activity took place - no “canceling a bet” on a rule violation.

- Player states no bonus abuse occurred - provided that’s true (which I have. I reason to doubt) - the newer account should be closed and funds/pending wager applied to the prior account - as long as there is no reason why that account was not eligible - it should be allowed to remain active.

- While bonus abuse is the most common reason for new account signups - there are others. Trying to bypass limits for example or prior deposit issues. Again - if any issues that player was attempting to bypass - it’s a pretty straightforward thing - you tried/got caught - 1st is a warning - beyond that confiscation is warranted as it’s demonstrated to not be a “simple mistake”.

- I believe book has a 1x roll through on deposits normally - that should be applied here. Not unreasonable and depending on deposit method book may require a hold on funds before any payout as well as normal KYC verification.

Again - as presented, it’s unreasonable to say the book “instantly” owes a refund here of deposit - likewise it’s unreasonable for the book to confiscate funds. Given the person who is “confiscating” funds is a chat rep - it’s likely the book management will review and take correct action here. If they don’t - player has a very legitimate complaint based on their statements and should file a complaint. What rarely helps is creating a thread complaining without first filing the complaint and letting the matter be reviewed. If you don’t feel a complaint with BMR will help - there are other services including one mentioned as preferred resolution by this book I believe. G/L.

thank you for your soliloquy. I didn’t take a bonus on any of my deposits. That is a fact, I have no reason to lie nor embellish. 4000 is not a lot of money to me, which is why I’m not making a big deal out of this. Sportsbetting.ag could’ve simply paid me out what was in my account before closing it down, but instead chose to confiscate everything. Did I accidentally break a rule? Yes. Was I a beneficiary of having two accounts? NO. This was an accident. Anywhoo, I’m moving on from this, but this thread should remain should any other player get unfair treatment from this sportsbook

And I did file a complaint
