It's 930 Vegas time.

I'm hungover, gassy, and my parlay is hurting already late in 1st Q.

3 separate tables behind me, perhaps not coincidentally all black, have no less than 7 separate phones going w full volume.

This is on top of the book airing Texas w volume.

It's just rude or like is this a cultural thing? From my POV I think they're all broke ass losers and HAVE ADHD or some shit that should be a talking point for late term abortion.

At least wear some headphones if you're going to be on your phone, especially at the sportsbook. People are trying to follow the games and listen to the volume, not whatever you have playing

Is it bad etiquette to yell when losing and cheer when winning?
No. Keep it limited to one cheer thou, not a dance UNLESS it's big & you buying beers for the crew.

Last September some dude was prancing around for like 10 minutes in his Crocs & socks at the Strat. Finally I asked him what he won.

Showed me his 6 team $10 parlay that paid $50

Was this at the Circa? Surprised that wouldn’t of been shut down. I don’t like sitting in the sportsbook anyways - and for that reason. Everybody is ‘serious’, especially the horse players - not my Vegas ‘vibe’.

Anyways, it’s always fun when your group runs into another group or two - you’re all partying and having a good time - and you ALL are cheering on and need the same team to win. That’s why I like watching the games at the bars instead of the sportsbook - better camaraderie, vibe, and chicks don’t want to hang at the sportsbook…..

I still don't think anything beats the racetrack.

I go to Vegas during big events (March Madness, Superbowl, Football weekends) to bet of course but, the best part is sitting in the sportsbook meeting people. Sometimes they are cool and tourists like you, sometimes they are locals, and sometimes they are damn nutjobs that go crazy.

I've met a ton of people from all over and have been entertained by the "show" some put on. I love it. After 2-3 days in the same sportsbook, its time to move on to see the show in other books.

Usually losers in a Sportsbook or racetrack

Fatty you know this
Horsetrack guys can be tough customers.

Grumpy and always bitching at the non-horse sportsbook people. Try sitting in the horse section of a book when its packed without betting on the ponies.... You'll be pummeled to death by guys in electric scooters carrying walking canes.

Horseplayers in general a frugal and angry group.

Only like Sportsbook area when it’s a big event and got a group cheering on the same side. Agree - bar is usually much more “fun”.

IDC how much your wagering/winning - if your having fun and not acting an asshole - it’s cool. It’s when you try to act like some kinda pro making $25 wagers that gets annoying more than anything.

It’s like a craps table - seriously - how many have had great nights that started downtown on Fremont back in the day with those $1 minimum tables ? Who gives a shit if you have a $40 bankroll - if it’s your last $40 and your winning a bit - your gonna over celebrate and as long as your tipping decently no one’s gonna stop you. It’s the cheap bastards who don’t tip and act like gambling is a chore that are annoying to me.
