The danger with spot betting is how it's used. Taking into account the "spot" can be helpful but many just misuse the strategy.

It becomes about trying to pick the bet that will win instead of trying to make the winning bet. Tough to win long term playing like that.

I'm the first to espouse patience, but if you are betting bigger because you are betting less often, you can hurt your chances of staying in the game.

Betting every small edge isn't for everybody but if are capable of picking higher EV spots, then you are likely leaving some smaller EV on the table.

Like I said, it's not for everybody but sometimes there can be safety in numbers.

Here are a couple of spots, Gold...

1078-NovE MICHIGAN +20 (-110)
111AKRON +17 (-108)

I've been buying these since near the OPEN in the KVB NCAAF Visiting Dog Fund. I have tickets with the same spread but lesser vig.

I recommend the lowest vig possible on these as we could see 1-1.

You're the best, Subaru! Thank you.

And so the reason why books as the term JJ uses "hates it" is because it is going to pay a lot if the bet wins, is that right?

No JJ is mostly wrong here. Books dont care really if u make one bet a month. But in general books would prefer their customer make many small bets for action because they make more vig that way and it wears down the player.

It's like grinding 40 hours a week at casino poker cash game paying the house rake every hand, vs. playing one big poker tournament a week/month

Wahaha, lol. Thanks for making my day, Subaru. :ROFLMAO: But note, he was never wrong when he picked the Chargers on MNF game, what a great victory for JJ.

Your explanation just totally makes sense. Thank you!
