From what I have read and all the videos I have seen it looks like countries like France and Germany have had enough and they are banning and fighting all pro Gaza/Palestinian protests

Why aren't we doing that here yet?

You alright over there?

When you say "we" who are you talking about? The US?

Are you asking why the US isn't banning protests? Are you assuming these protests are not peaceful? Are the protests peaceful?

Forget all those questions, just answer one...

Why would the US ban protests that are pro Palestinian?

So instead of banning or policing the violence you advocate for just plain banning any organized protest, just in case?

Do I have that right?
So let me get this right

You support the protesters who are no more than supporters of the terrorists

And yes, Palestinians helped and stand with Gaza

Of course not all of them, but unfortunately it's impossible to weed everyone out

you either support free speech or you don't.

but you don't support ALL speakers, because you understand the danger in trying to pick and choose how to rob people of amendment protected rights.

you wanna go down that slippery slope?

Huh? I never said I supported anything.

I'm just trying to understand your position of just banning protests because other countries might do it.

That's what you initially said. Your posts didn't sound like you were from the US, they didn't sound American at all.

My questions have nothing to do with the topic being protested. I'm addressing the notion of banning protests, and gave you a way out with the notion of them not being peaceful.

You took it, but still sound like you want to ban any protest. Thta doesn't go well in a place like America, it never has.

People that protest in other countries is laughable. Throw a big net over both sides from their " homelands" and ship them back to their respective sides and let them have at it since they care so much.

I think he does want to go down that slope, but doesn't want to address the problem with the slope.

Easier to accuse anyone thinking about the 1st ammendment as supporting terrorists, which makes no sense in this thread.

But it's easier than justifying a violation of the constitution, clearly.

Not necessarily

Not free speech or protesting that turns aggressive and violent

France and Germany were allowing the protesting until it all started getting violent so reports now say they are banning them altoget6her which is the right move since they cant do it the right way
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

So are you saying that because it was so difficult to protest outside the capitol without being violent that the government should ban anyone from protesting outside the capitol now, forever?

I just explained

Read

Peaceful protesting allowed

Protesting that gets aggressive shut it down

Not complicated

And that's what other countries are doing, which is the right move

If people can't act right then you shut them down
