Sam...I've never seen him play on grass...do you think he can make the quick transition from clay to grass to edge a victory. Gojo already has 2 matches on grass and won both of them. Was wondering why the line is so low for musetti. Given his ranking and skillset. Is this a trap?

Everyone always leaves out the guy with 9 MVPs & 4 Cups..(more dominant in his sport than Novak..those 3 Slam losses to Wawrinka can't be overlooked).

people who follow tennis closely know that Stan Wawrinka in his prime had some of the best form and pace on his forehand and backhand that the sport has ever seen.

numerous other players on tour including his fellow countryman ROGER FEDERER marveled at his incredible ability.

watch the highlights of that 2015 french final between Joker and Stan.

Stan was hitting through the clay court, yes THROUGH it, that is almost impossible to do.

1st one is Cressy..Venus might seem like a square pick (even at +205) cuz she's a "name" but she's playing a 17 yr old playing her 1st grass match so take that for whatever it's worth. Pretty sure if there's exactly 1 loser in this it won't be her, but some big fav. like Azarenka/Andreescu.
*Edit: $250 bb: threw in Sakkari -410 with the same 8

Guarantee you I know more about Stan than you. 1st big tennis Future I hit was him at 70-1 2014 AO winning 10k. Doesn't change the fact he's only won 1 Masters & would have no chance at the HOF if Novak won at least 2 of those Slam matches against him. His H2H against the Big 3 says it all:
6-22 vs Novak
3-19 vs Rafa
3-23 vs Fed
12-64 combined [15.8%]

you took Stan for $142.86 to win the 70/1 to make $10,000 ?

okay.

you must have seen something in the Stan the Man talent wise to make that wager.

it is pretty clear you have lost a ton of money betting on him and then you started betting against him and got burned many times especially when Novak was playing him.

you have lost in both ways betting on and against Stan. you had the one lucky wager (so you say) betting on Stan so you went crazy and gave it all back.

BTW i would absolutely wreck you in tennis knowledge,

you have no idea who i am or what you are dealing with.

Full disclosure I took 1 decent longshot from each quarter that yr. Stan, Raonic, Berdych, & Tsonga for $150 each so it's not like I went all in on him. [still a decent return on $600]. If you're tennis knowledge is so superior to mine you'd know exactly what I or anybody else saw in him heading into that Slam. Those 2 matches specifically: (You seem like a good dude & solid poster Homie so I don't mind the back the forth so as long as we could keep it civil & not too antagonistic, all good)

Grass season is so short. 3 weks. No masters 1000 either.
Every match could be trap like. Grass courts are like hard. Fast overall

i recall that 2015 FO final Joker v Wawa, vividly.

going into that match, Joker had an insane record v Wawa and may have been undefeated against him, like 17-0 or something crazy.

After the first set it looked like Joker would cruise. then Wawa turned it on in the second set and found something. i recall immediately texting my cousin (Joker fan) and my good buddy (Fed fan) and telling them that Joker looked like a deer in headlights in the second set and he could not respond. it was like Wawa shocked him w the level of play he reached that day. Wawa was hitting missiles from both wings that day. I have never seen a guy hit right through a claycourt like that.

to this day, i believe, and will always believe, the Joker did not fully prepare for Wawa that day and got caught flatfooted. it's like how a 27 pt fave in CFB every now and then gets shocked w an upset because they take their opponent lightly. Joker thought he could waltz into that Sunday final and be done in 3 max 4 sets. boy was he wrong.

Wawa is like Del Potro. all the talent in the world, they were just born at the wrong time. on any given day they could beat the Top 3. i think Wawa and DP have more God given talent than even Andy Murray, but they could not put it together.

do you know from 2005 through 2012, the only guy Outside of the Big 3 to win a slam, was Del Potro in the US Open 2009?

crazy stat.

this is what prompted my reply. anyhow, all good.

just so you know, i've been a tennis fanatic since Boris Becker at aged 17 in 1985 won Wimbledon. i was 10yo that summer and i became hooked on tennis after that. i played a few years in HS but was never a great player. good enough to make the HS team in a very competitive tennis area of CA, but not good enough to excel at it. still, i love the game, and the history of it.

Wimbledon starts in 21 days but who's counting :)

Damn had no idea your brain was so much involved in this sport. I’m assuming you have made money over the years betting on tennis ?
