I love upstate NY. we get 4 seasons even if we deal with lots of snow and cold weather. You know what we don't have....

hurricanes
earthquakes
volcanoes
snakes
reptiles
120 degree weather

taxes suck, but realistically that's everywhere.

Knock on wood, this is one of the top 10 safest places to lives, low crime rate all over. and location wise we are close to most things or decent drive.

3 hours away from Montreal, 3 hours away from NYC, 20 minutes away from Saratoga track, 20 minutes away from Casino

shopping centers all over, concerts at Saratoga with big name performers all year

i love where I live

Sammy I'm planning to move there this month. I dont drive/ prefer public trans. in city like areas.
