was queen since her father George VI died in 1952

thats me starting to rule right now......thats insane. and for 70 years...curious to see how things will turn out with her gone.

It was a very interesting time for England

Her Uncle King Edward, abdicated the throne to marry American divorcee socialite Wallace Simpson, in the mid 30s, just as Hitler was beginning to steamroll neighboring Countries.

Her Father, George, had a horrible speech impediment, but became the defacto King and subsequent Head of State at the beginning of WW2 as The Parliament couldn't agree on a PM or policy direction w Germany. Chamberlin eventually quitting and Churchill taking over.

The Queen drove an abulance during the war- she served up there w the boys.

Fast forward, England survives the war, but her Father passes away from throat cancer (he reportedly smoked 4 packs a day) and oops, you've got the 26 year old Queen w her Greek royalty husband (Mountbaten was of Greek aristocracy, but he too a decorated naval captain in WW2) and together the accidental Queen & her Prince gave stability and pride to a Countrt during a rather tumultuous time.

king george vi was a good king the reason i enjoyed watching the king's speech. he insisted that he and his family experience the same deprivations as their subjects during ww2. her uncle is just a spoiled, shallow and whining king.

Average person would have to be able to live to 110 for that mark to be hit again.

Ya it would take an accident basically, like if Charles & William happened to both go in the next 15 years then Georgie would reign for probably 70-80 years, that is, unless the Parliament dissolved the Monarchy

archie and prince george are like carbon copy of their dads. prince harry is to far to be the next king so weather he's interested or not to be the next king still no chance for his son to become a king.
