So just for fun, I applied my mathematical soccer formula to the Raiders-Chargers season opener.

I used the team stats from last season, 2023.

Based in that, it said the probability of the Chargers scoring 20 points is 15.4%.

Interesting. Wonder if the soccer formula works on NFL games.

A model I respect shows this as a final score, this is a Sportsline model. I don’t bet on games solely based on models, but if my play is lined up with one I will definitely make this forum aware of it.

Raiders put up 63 on this same Chargers team last season and I don't think Harbaugh alone makes such a drastic difference. Raiders improved immensely this off season. On both O and D.

I would be shocked if Chsrgers score 26 and not basing that on my formula just on my knowledge of the teams and last season.
