I always said the NFL is so much better as a league when the Raiders are good. The reason is....

They are the traditional bad guys of the league. The team everyone hated. But for that to work, the bad guy must be strong.

It doesn't play if the bad guy is weak. NFL is really stupid as a league right now. Imagine how much more popular it would become if the bad guys were great again?

The whole country would be divided between those who love the Raiders and those who hate them.

Those days are so long ago, the only current attention they get is when they should the freakshow in the endzone. It is good for the NBA when the Knicks are in contention...what does it mean when the Raiders are in the championship hunt...no one remembers!
