Philly might actually be worse than all 4 West teams remaining tbh. Maybe they're a little better than the Suns due to their depth issues right nowI am a former 76er season ticket holder back in the late 80's - mid-90's. They were right on mid-court 16 rows up from the floor, the aisle seat and the one next to me. Point is I am a long-time sixer fan. This game tomorrow night is the type of game in the past 20 years or so that they would lose. I never thought they would be the Celtics, and they have not yet........
I sense something different with this team, attitude wise. It certainly helps that Harden and Maxey are playing well, but it is something more than that. I believe that IF they beat the Celtics, they beat the Heat too (assuming the Heat close it out). IMO, the only team in the west who may stand a chance against Philly is LA. Philly would handle GS, Phoenix or Denver. I know there are many that feel LA is on a roll and will win it all, but it does not happen too often in the NBA where a team slides by playing mediocre basketball during the regular season, then are "world-beaters" in the playoffs and win the title. I feel that if LA gets to the finals, they revert back to the "norm". Yes, I am a 76er fan, but far from a "homer".
Problem is Doc kinda sucks as a coach now, and they're way too streaky.
Harden is bipolar as a player. Sure he played well in Games 1 and 4, but he was also historically awful in Games 2 and 3, plus played pretty shitty in the first round.
Embiid seems a little up and down as well.
There's a reason Celtics are favored on the road in Game 6. Now let's be clear.....Boston also has some chokey genes in them as well
