Until we hear from Jazz or BMR I am going to side (at least partially) with the player here. It's been long enough. Are we gonna get a statement on this?
since the beginning i've thought that's a weird take. with the number of hands and bet size, it was always mathematically impossible to be ahead that much without mispays/glitch.

that said, do sportsbooks have a responsibility to pay anyway, because they are outsourcing to a place with glitchy software? or does the player bear the burden because they are probably a shot taker? to me that is the question... player has to say they were dumb enough to not know the site was paying incorrectly, yet smart enough to keep playing and win 30k.

If there was a glitch (there probably was) the player deserves at least a partial payout. That's my opinion.

i go back and forth on this

if i buy a margarita in a can, and it rings up as 0.99 instead of 2.99 i'll probably walk out and not worry about the $2. but i'm not going back in and buying 35 more of them to take advantage of the situation.

This is one thing I thought about. He, or anyone, could have gotten paid if he discovered a glitch in this game or any other game.

The fault of many gamblers, either online, or in a casino, when a machine or game is glitching to the point it gives you a can’t lose edge, instead of milking it for a little bit and getting paid without red flags going up, they can’t help themselves and go for profits too huge not to notice.

Have no idea if that’s the case here, but I’ve seen it happen that way before.

Im pretty sure OP knew there was a glitch as he presents himself as Veteran Blackjack Player.

I don't really care him exploiting the glitch but when you are caught by being greedy, please don't

make a post like the casino or sportsbook robbed your honest earned money.

There are players that have significant funds in Jazz and it effects them.

The repeated use of glitch in the thread made me think of this case FH. Wasn’t trying to get anyone upset.

If you know the history of this case probably the only reason these guys got caught is they tried to milk it for too much $$

I can't believe I hadn't seen this before. Just got around to reading it. My god.
Moron could have made that last forever. Almost unfathomable how dumb he was.

There’s a real long version of the story somewhere. Real interesting case study how gamblers think in my opinion

Guy took ages to perfect and figure out how to work this angle, and instead of playing it just enough to be profitable for as long as he wanted probably, couldn’t help himself and went for huge profits that would obviously be noticed. Plus arguing with his partner about petty things and the chop.

yeah it sounds easy to just say "do 1 a month forever" but i'm sure it becomes all you think about, and they were probably thinking a software update would eventually fix it. other stupidity was getting hand pays, they probably could've gotten $1000 twice a day over and over all around the country

Correct me if my thnking is wrong here. Those machines are everywhere. Every casino in America has them and they're probably all over Europe too.
Couldn't you hit one casino a day and collect 5-10k without really being noticed. You wouldn't have to hit the same casino twice in the same year.
Or at least some variation of that plan makes sense to me.
Still mind-boggling.

yeah but that's not how greed and gambling work. if i was smart, logical, and conservative with my gambling i would've been way ahead the first 20 years, instead i was way behind. my son is the same way, and i'm sure others here as well knew some good angles but pissed everything away and then some.

gambling is probably the worst addiction there is

You're right. I'm just not looking at it from the perspective of someone who would lose many thousands playing the same video poker game for hours.
I lost a fair amount in my 20's trying different ideas etc. It wasn't until a few years ago that I learned that betting like a robot is the only way to really make money on sports.

I guess it's kind of like the stories about people who win the lottery and it ruins their lives.
