I'm retired. Living the life of a sports bettor. This is basically my job day in day out. Ive gotta win to eat. It's a grind. Been doing it over 30 years. It's been a helluva ride is all I can say fellas. I always find stuff to do out here. Get in my RV go up to the mountains and camp out with my better half.. I go where I wanna go do what I wanna do whenever I wanna do it. It's wonderful man Ive worked my ass off for over 40 years to get to this point. I'm living life right now. Enjoy brother. 👊 💪

But an SEZ might be the best choice of all.

Amirite?
Fun to go and mess around but would not want to live in one. I am headed back to Campuchia to the best SEZ in the world, Sihanoukville the end of October

Freedom of Mind + Financial Independence = WINNING.
Yes siree. I bought my own spot out here that I own it's paid for and I'm good brother. It took alot of hard work and discipline to save my money through the years. I'm an old fucker man. 😂 I knew before I retired that's what it was gonna take so I could retire comfortably man.

Thanks pipe.

The difference between you and me is that you're a successful bettor and I'm not. I would starve if I had to live off my bets. :D

I have the RV thing down. I bought a school bus and I'm fixing it up to take on the road. I even painted it like the Partridge Family and even have "The Partridge Family" letters on the side.

Việt Nam or SEA much better choices.
Fly, I'll be in the Philippines in January. I'll be scouting things out from there. I may live in the PI for a few months out of the year. I will have a chance to visit Viet Nam then.

I've been to Thailand. I don't care for it because the people are too reserved and most don't speak English.

I am not a fan at all of the Philippines, there are 11 SEA countries and they are #9 on my list, #10 is East Timor and #11, Brunei. Depends where in Thailand you go, a lot of people speak English there. If you didn't like Thailand for that reason then don't go to Vietnam, more speak English in Thailand than Vietnam tenfold. Good luck and if you do come to the Motherland look me up, I will show you a good time.

Good stuff leap. Wasn't always successful at betting early on. I was wet behind the ears so to say and was as square as they come man. I learned through trials and early on that sports betting really actually is all about the numbers. I'm pretty decent at quick math on the fly and on numbers and do fast calculations in my head as I'm practically a human calculator man 😂. Love live betting. I do ok for myself sports betting. It was hard to learn to master the art of line movement. Once I was actually able to do that the wins came without actually trying to pick winners tbh. I also put in alot of the work that it takes to succeed at this game man. When everyone's sleeping the Pipester is awake. 😜 And when everyone's awake I'm dead asleep. 😂 I'm literally a night owl seeing daylight. Sounds like you got your retirement plans in order. Just enjoy the time we got left. 👊 💪 🤪😜

The longer you put off taking Social Security the more you get per month. I still have my health and I still have my energy, but I can tell already I don't have the energy I used to have.
It's starting to get to be more than just the money though. It's having to deal with all the dumb BS and stress at work. I think I would like to take 6 months to a year off and then go back for more.
my advice is:
take retirement quit your job, take a break and then get part time work to give you a sense of purpose and some income. always take SS at 62, it would take collecting past your 80th year to break even on waiting till 65. working when you dont need the money is a whole new mindset, lots less stress.

Great advice. According to sources social security is depleted sometime by 2033/2037.

Don't want to have to learn a new language.
Although I've never been to SEA, I get the feeling Americans are more accepted in Central America and there are already large expat communities in CR you can fit into easily.
You do not need to learn a new language to live there. Most people I know and encounter have no idea how to speak the language of the country they are living in. It is not needed, but makes your life easier is all. There are expats and tons of them living all over SEA, in every country.

By the time I’m 65 our U.S Goverment told me in a letter Social Security will be completely depleted.
The worst case scenario, assuming no changes to the system, is you'll get ~74% of the originally planned benefits. That's all they can fund after 2033 (or there abouts).

Thanks. Good info. I've always heard about how inexpensive it is living in SEA.
That's why I was following your threads so much to learn more about it.

I may talk to the wife and add it to the list of possible places to retire to in several years.
