How does this work? Is this something stated in their bonus conditions? I have taken similar ones in the past and I don't recall any issues.

I'm pretty sure the rule is that you can't take a bonus if you have a pending bet or your balance is over a $1.00

No it's not new. I thought this was the case but maybe I am wrong. So you have deposited and taken bonuses when you already have a balance and when you have pending bets?

Correct. I always want to have a balance so I can place bets immediately and not wait for deposits to go through should something appear. And I always have pending bets with them. They will occasionally decline a bonus if my balance (including pending bets) is too big (there's no exact number, this will depend on who is in on the day), but it takes far more than 1 USD.

Well I can't attest to how this bonus works for sure. I can confirm I have taken bonuses while having a decent balance and pending bets. But I don't recall if I have also taken bonuses while having one of these type of "free 25 USD" bets pending. If that is the case I will avoid these in the future, as it's obviously not worth giving up on bonuses for 7 months over it.

I went back and checked my records for the thanksgiving promo mentioned above. From when I took that in mid October until thanksgiving I took no bonuses. For the year before I can't see records.

You can bet that promo and still get bonuses, it just becomes more difficult to get new bonuses because you need to complete each rollover with that bet pending. If you didn't have that bet pending you could get a new bonus every time you busted. With that bet pending you technically can't bust so every time your account balance is at zero with that pending bet you would have to complete any rollover remaining on the account with a new deposit and no bonus. Not worth the hassle so I always pass on these small free giveaways that tie up the account for months.

Oh I've had some bad experiences with them. Like when I was limited at the World Cup and I had three different agents on their chat and two via email deny that I was limited and that I had the same limits as everyone else before I checked with Dave Mason on twitter and he confirmed I was indeed limited. Or the time when they voided my Biden to become president bets in August worth $60K at the time that I had placed before he became Democratic nominee. Eventually they come to their senses. But I've had some helpful ones too. When I say not below average it's low praise and says more about the overall industry than them

yeah thanks for clarifying. And this does explain why BOL keeps giving away these "free" $25 every now and then. Luckily for me I can continue to take them and still bet and take bonuses the way I do. But obviously not for everyone.

They closed my account because they stopped operating in the country I reside. I was fine with that, but instead of letting my pending bets stay open and pay any winning bets out once they had been decided, they just voided all of them. I of course protested loudly since these bets were all in a great position. I got nowhere for the first day, but they finally ended up unvoiding my bets and also let me stay on as a customer despite not being in the right geographical position. I don't think they were taking shots, I think it was just about getting the information to the right person, which can sometimes be a very frustrating process.

PS: I love Heritage CS live chat. My only grip with them is having to provide my password. However sometimes I give them an incorrect password with the digits switched around and somehow I still get help
