Happy Saturday ‘Eye Candy’ Crew!

When I was in high school I used to work at a full service gas station & got yelled at by Dick Van Patten (the dad from ‘Eight Is Enough’) for not cleaning his windows correctly…..

Michael Anthony from Van Halen lived up the street from us (in the gated community part). My brother & I were like 14 & 10 and huge fans, of course. We hopped the fence & rang his doorbell. His wife answered, and we asked if we could get his autograph. Of course, we got the “How did you guys get in here”, but then he smiled, took our felt pen & paper, & gave us his autograph…..

Was behind Vince Neil & his kids @ Disneyland on the “Pirates Of The Caribbean” ride (in the 80’s, pre “Fast Pass”). Gushed about what a huge fan I was, and we were in line for like 30 minutes - so it became awkward.
Jump forward a few years, I see him again at his tattoo shop in Vegas. He sees me (let’s just say I’m ‘Big & Tall’) and says ‘Disneyland’! I thought you were like a stalker or something!’ Cool guy…..

Lastly, I (drunkenly) hit on Nicole Sullivan from MADtv at a party circa 1992 or so before she was a ‘celebrity’. Nothing came of it, & I don’t blame her…..

Plenty of other ‘celebrity’ encounters (living in Southern California, it’s bound to happen sooner or later), but these were the funniest I recall…..

I always think of, do I wanna bother this (x name) celeb, but it’s not like I’ll ever get another chance. Except dinner, I will wait until they leave

Always thought his wife was a smoke show, funny she was the singer, and magically took over his role when he died. She yells a bunch of nonsense too - same M.O.
