“Syrian President Assad backs Putin on Ukraine - Syrian Presidency”

“(Reuters) -Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad has called his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and supported his position regarding Ukraine, the Syrian presidency said in a statement on Friday amid the ongoing Russian invasion.

Syria has been a staunch ally of Moscow since Russia launched a military campaign in Syria in 2015 that helped to turn the tide in a civil war in favour of President Bashar al-Assad with massive aerial bombardment of opposition-held areas.

Assad during the call described the Russian offensive in Ukraine as a "correction of history."

"His Excellency (Assad) stressed that Syria stands with the Russian Federation, based on its conviction of the correctness of its position," the statement said.”

Correct me if I”m wrong but this is the same President that left his country during the recent terrorist attacked in Syria, right?

Gotta give credit to Ukraine and their leader. He’s fighting. Our last president ran to the bunker when a woman tried to climb a fence 300 yards from the White House.
Ukraine president is a former comic actor that shows the world how to protect democracy and now all of a sudden European Union and NATO wants Ukraine in.

"GENEVA, March 1 (Reuters) - More than 100diplomats from some 40 Western countries and allies including Japan walked out of a speech by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the top U.N. human rights forum on Tuesday in protest over Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The boycott by envoys from the European Union, the United States, Britain and others left only a few diplomats in the room including Russia's ambassador to the U.N. in Geneva, Gennady Gatilov, who is a former deputy to Lavrov. Envoys from Syria, China and Venezuela were among delegations that stayed."

What do you think of this guys? Change of heart?

"Biden's Middle East allies change tune on Ukraine war as conflict escalates "

"All of the US' Gulf allies, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, voted in favor of a resolution at the United Nations General Assembly that condemned Russia's invasion and called for its immediate withdrawal from Ukraine.

The apparent change of heart appeared abrupt. Saudi Arabia on Tuesday afternoon called for de-escalation. The Gulf Cooperation Council, of which Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar are members, also issued a statement calling for restraint and diplomacy. They didn't condemn Russia.

But the starkest change came from the UAE, which just last week abstained from a similar resolution at the Security Council. A top official explained then that picking sides would "only lead to more violence."

More casualties and counting.

"Up to 6,000 Russians may have been killed in Ukraine so far, U.S. official estimates
Updated on: March 10, 2022 / 6:55 PM / CBS News
  • Between 5,000 and 6,000 Russian troops may have been killed in just the first two weeks of the invasion of Ukraine, a U.S. official estimated Wednesday. The official stressed, however, that this is a difficult number to assess in real time, and the number could be closer to 3,500."
"Thousands of Ukrainian civilians and soldiers are also believed to have been killed over the past two weeks. The U.S. official said 2,000-4,000 Ukrainian troops have been killed. In the city of Mariupol — where an airstrike hit a maternity hospital on Wednesday — some 1,200 people have died over the course of Russia's nine-day siege of the city, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's office said, according to The Associated Press."

A Russian pilot captured by Ukraine admitted being ordered to attack Ukrainian civilians

The pilot said: "In the process of completing the task, I realized the target was not enemy military facilities, but residential buildings, peaceful people."

"I also urge all military personnel of the Russia federation to stop carrying out military crimes against the peaceful people of Ukraine.
I think we have already lost this war."

And this "information" is from CNN or MSNBC? Western MSM for sure.
