Influence - what bands cite the Stones as a big influence ? I’ll wait.

Beatles - several, Zeppelin - Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd. and even KISS can cite several 90s era grunge bands and a few others inspired by the bands/era. None as good obviously - but Nirvana is still a pretty damn good one to cite you as an influence.

Point is - just as many say Zeppelin just popularized what a bunch of blues musicians did to white kids - Stones did the same. They created their own twist - but yea - they took more than they put back out as an influence. Still made alot of memorable songs over a 20 year stretch. But name me a stones song the average person will know POST 1995.

My son likes this group. He's in his 20s.... How old are you Fly? ;)
I have been into Tool since 1991-1992, I was 18 when I got into them. I have met Maynard and I have been to his Winery (Caduceus Cellars) in Arizona and have a case of autographed wine from him plus seem them live as well as his other bands for years. By far my favorite band of all time. I will be 51 the 19th of this month.

Wait so they are an older band. I did not know that. I may need to ask him where he picked up on them.

Are you serious?

Everyone cites the Stones as an influence.

Pete Townshend said they were the greatest ever and epitomized British rock.

That tells you everything in one sentence.
