I honestly didn't see the Aces utter destruction of the Liberty coming. This series might be over guys although I do expect the Liberty to come out with a sense of urgency in game 3 and maybe take that one at home but it's going to be awfully tough to beat the Aces 3 in a row with the way their playing right now.

Thread record: 40-44 -6.16 Units

yup, i think so too. series is done.

did not play gm2,
played gm1 NYL ml.

this is my first season, truly investing in wnba. learned quite a bit.

So I didn't have a play on today's game because I had to leave early this morning which is why I didn't post in this thread until now but we get another game as the Liberty came to play today at home and took one from Vegas. The series resumes Wednesday and I'll probably have a play that night as well as game 5 if there is one because that game takes place next Friday.

With the major injury news that has Chelsea Gray likely missing the rest of the series and Kiah Stokes out for tonights game I think this series has turned on its head in the Liberty's favor. I see them covering tonight against the short handed Aces and I jumped on them to win the series at +183. I think if the Liberty win tonight they will be short favorites on Friday where obviously I'll take them again because I think they're going to pull this off.

Official Plays:
New York Liberty -6 -110 1.1u to win 1u
New York Liberty to win the series +183 1u to win 1.83u

Yes Chelsea Gray was arguably the MVP of the series these injuries are huge. The guard depth of the Aces will be tested because now Plum and Young have to play every minute probably. Without her the Aces are going to have trouble scoring I think.

Hats off to the Aces on back to back championships. I really thought the Liberty would force a game 5 playing at the house but the Aces had other ideas. Sucks to end the thread with a loser but I will probably post my NBA plays starting next Tuesday with the first night of the regular season so stay tuned.

Final thread record: 40-46 -8.26 Units

whenever there r key injuries my angle is to may the team with the inj. ATS/ML
in basketball atleast.

Injured player theory also works in other sports as well. Especially in football where it's "next man up" mentality. Some cappers I know like to take teams that are forced to start a backup due to a key player being out.

yes, it works extremely well.

i do it all the time in NBA. leap of faith . lol

- 1st game a star player is out, take that team
- 1st game a star player is back, fade that team.

always worked for me :an_light:

i'm thinking of starting a dedicated NBA thread for this season, myself..

I had some success using this system last year in the NBA.

I would say there's one scenario in football with injured player I would avoid

Key player(s) in the defensive secondary is out

Backups usually get torched

Agree with the rest though, especially in basketball

How many times have we seen top player(s) out and we think the other team will take advantage, only to see the shorthanded team play excellent...
