She did have the pot in hand and threw at him, so that should get him off the hook because it gave him the right m (despite overreaction)

Cops also can’t help if someone is a little screwy upstairs.
They don’t have time to do a mental history check on ppl. They have to look out for their own safety.
Overreaction indeed.

He can claim self-defense with 1 shot, but never with 3 straight shots.

It's not easy to be a cop, especially in the US. Lots of rights.

There's a big difference in how people treat them compared to PH. In PH, we never argue with cops, and I think one of the main reasons why you will also find rotten members in the organization, power-tripping and abusive ones. But in the general view, PH citizen respects the man in uniform.

I don’t know why anyone would be a cop these days in many states (Blue states)

You’re damned if you do & damned if you dont

Statement from Sangamon County Sheriff Jack Campbell

The Body Worn Camera footage has now been released, and the public can see what we saw: Sonya Massey lost her life due to an unjustifiable and reckless decision by former Deputy Sean Grayson.
Grayson had other options available that he should have used. His actions were inexcusable and do not reflect the values or training of our office. He will now face judgment by the criminal justice system and will never again work in law enforcement. Ms. Massey needlessly lost her life, and her family deserves answers. I trust the legal process will provide them.
This incident does not reflect the values or actions of our law enforcement community. It was a tragic decision made by an individual who had the training, tools, and experience to know better. We are committed to upholding a standard that prevents such tragedies from occurring in the future.

Thank you.
Sheriff Jack Campbell

So they accept corrupt authorities because they are afraid.

Sounds like under big time instigation. I sure thought I read charged but didn’t I guess.

I’d be shocked if he wasn’t charged
I just found this.

"Sean Grayson, the former Sangamon County Sheriff’s deputy now charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Sonya Massey, was previously discharged from the U.S. Army for serious misconduct, military records show.

Grayson, who is white, was indicted by a grand jury in the July 6 death of Massey, who is Black. Ben Crump, the family’s attorney, said the U.S. Department of Justice has also opened an investigation into the incident, but the agency said in a statement that it is “assessing the circumstances” and following the criminal case."
