Human rights are very active in the PH, and cops were also afraid to be in the limelight of that controversy, especially now that every moment can be captured and uploaded on social media. I have 2 siblings who are an active member of the force and they told me that they are not even allowed to use mobile phones while on duty, or else the admin case is waiting.

Corrupt officials will always be present, it's not 100% clean... I am not saying we allow abuse, but we tried not to argue on the point of an officer killing a regular citizen.

I haven't read the thread, but if the hot water was such an issue, then why let someone who answered your question "are you alright mentally" with "yes, I took my medicine" even approach the water?

Instead, the officer should have handled the stove while calling her away.

Sorry, that's straight-up murder. So the cop was in fear for his life? From boiling water? From a small woman? From what I saw she didn't advance toward them. He escalated the situation. He didn't even give any time before he unloaded on her.

I'm not a cop hater. As Cincy said, a few bad apples ruin it for everybody.
