Read my posts again.

Even the part about jumping in front of the car. But especially the part about training.

You asked...

I answered. I also explained why he is in trouble.

Give the guy a call, let him know you have a defense planned for the courtroom.

Let us know how it works out.
No reason for me to re-read you. You obviously don't get it.

You answered by presenting your own false narrative.

His defense should be pretty strong actually and your point about it working out has nothing to do with whether he is guilty or innocent as a jury can be biased.

If he thinks his life is really in danger by that hot water, a single shot on foot, hand, or any parts of the body that are not vital to disable Sonya is enough, the remaining shots are already murder.
Maybe he did maybe he didn't but no one is going to let a crazy person throw boiling water on them. It's easy for armchair QB's to tell us what should happen when they're not in the same situation isn't it?

He has a lot of room to run outside the house or take cover, anything just to avoid the hot water. But he chose the easy way.

Why should the officer run? Because he was being threatened. She had ample.opportunity to obey orders and chose to be a nut. All while a gun was pointed at her face. She brought it on herself.

Because the officer took an oath to "safeguard lives". Different story if he was confronted with a gun of course. In this case, he had a choice to choose to prevent the loss of life. I don't think he showed maximum tolerance.

Cop is cooked here. Bad judgment all the way around. First is why is a mentally ill person living by herself? Second is the cop overreacting to the situation presented and is on tape saying he is going to shoot her in the face.

You've got it backwards. The officer isn't the one who runs. The officer is the one in charge of the situation. She has to follow his orders, not the other way around.

She chose not to. She chose being a nutjob.

Yes he said it first which is warning and she still didn't obey him.

Problem he has is that a boiling pot of water is not life threatening. If she had a knife, gun, or even a bat coming towards him he would have a better case. In any physical conflict distance is your friend and he is going to have a hard time trying to convince a jury his life was in immediate danger with two fully armed cops against a mentally ill woman with a pot of boiling water.

If there's a way to preserve life w/o endangering yours, then that must be the resort that had taken. I agree that every citizen must obey and respect the man in uniform, but what are you gonna do, especially in the US where there's a lot of police resistance? Shoot everyone who doesn't follow your command?

Boiling pot of water can do serious damage. Leave your face scarred all over for life as well as the rest of your body.

No reasonable person is going let anyone throw boiling water on them. That's an insanity.

His defense for me is simple. Either I get a pot of boiling water thrown on me or I can shoot. Any objective person will admit they would shoot first.

What a great idea, actually. I bet crime would go down overnight.

Taser, pepper spray, or billyclub. Agree nobody wants boiling water (possibly) thrown at them but we both know he is done for what he did. It is a perfect blend of bad judgment and circumstances all the way around.

Easy to say when you're not the one in that situation. If he's done then maybe we should ask why is he done? Is it because he simply wanted to murder this woman on purpose because he's a racist who hated her?

If that's the case, then why didn't he shoot her immediately upon arrival? Why have a half hour conversation with someone you hate, repeatedly ask them what's wrong, and check out the back of the property in order to ease her concerns if he truly hated her?

No, that's not the reason at all is it? The reason he's most likely done is because the jury will likely be filled with blacks and leftists who see this guy as an evil.white man who wanted to kill a black person.

That's why. Let's tell the truth and be honest about it. The racism didn't come from this man, it will come from the other side.

I would agree if it weren’t in Illinois.
There will be no fair trial there

Could he have avoided her in a way so that he didn’t have to shoot her?
Yes

However, all of this boils down to the same problem over & over & over again

People not obeying a police officer’s requests or orders & escalating it to something that should never have happened had they just listened

Like I said you don't call the police to begin with.

I'm starting to understand why cops are so hated in the USA.

He didn't have to do anything, except maybe take a couple of steps back, move near the door and not approach someone with a pot of boiling water in her hands.

Are you saying that cops are honest & trustworthy in other countries?! :+clueless

😛

I’m all seriousness though, this case is a rare instance

99% of the time the person got what they asked for and the officer was in the right

No, but in the USA they can just shoot you in your own home because you're cooking food. I just don't think he had to kill her. He could've used his taser.
