The books have this as a toss up. A lot of the stats will say it is a toss-up.

• Lopez (MIN) vs Boyd (CLE). Two excellent pitchers the last few weeks. Both around 2 ERA since the end of July. Similar ERAs at home or on the road for both so no real H/A edge on pitching.
• Hitting is close for both teams the last two weeks as well. 0.225 vs 0.227 avg. OBA both near 0.300 over that period.

So why pick Cleveland....

1. They are at home and they have one of the best home record in MLB. They also have a +7 unit edge in home games this year. Min is -3 units on the road.
2. Momentum. CLE is trending up in performance while MIN is trending down (see chart).
3. Bullpen. CLE has a much better pen than MIN and that will likely be the deciding factor tonight.
