Tough 1-2 day on the diamond as the Giants blow an early 4-0 lead and Baltimore only manages 2 runs tonight to keep the over from hitting. At least the Brewers came through as an underdog. We'll see what tomorrow brings as I'll probably have a couple more baseball plays.

Nice 2-1 day on the diamond with only the Reds losing as their comeback fell short.

Thursday we have the semi-finals for mens olympic basketball and I have one official play. I'm laying it with Germany in their matchup with France. While France impressed me against Canada I think it was due to the fact that they match up really well with the Canadians who lack good big men which the French bigs took advantage of. In this matchup against Germany I think the Germans are better than them at every position and have the size to frustrate the French bigs including Wembanyama who oddly enough didn't really contribute much offensively against the Canadians. So I'm laying 5.5 here and trusting the Germans to get to the Gold medal game.

In the other game I have no play but I wanted to share my thoughts because it is USA vs Serbia. I think the Serbians are interesting here because I think they'll have a better game plan for this rematch against the Americans who blew them out the first time. I think the line is a little too wide but I didn't play anything in this one because I feel like it's scary to bet against the Americans who can turn it on at any time and cover 16. Maybe you take Serbia early and bet America live for a middle but I am just sticking with my one play.

0-1 in the Olympic basketball as Germany falls short against France who is really playing well and has the support of the crowd spurring them on to the Gold medal game. It's almost like they're two different teams now because the team that lost to Germany and was taken to overtime by an undermanned Japan squad would not have beaten this Germany team. However, France is really playing some inspired ball so they're dangerous now for whoever they play in the Gold medal game.

Yeah it is surprising but France made some big adjustments that has them playing much better in the medal round. You got to give their coach credit for making some tweaks to his team following the loss to Germany in the qualifying round. They're playing much better now and I think they're a major threat to win the gold especially if USA can't come back today and beat Serbia who is playing out of their minds right now.

I did say take Serbia early and middle with USA live. The current live line has USA favored by -4.5. I don't do live betting but I think this play is as good as you're going to get because I don't think Serbia keeps up their shooting in the second half and USA rallies for a win.

USA has too many dogs and Serbia wasn't going to shoot 50%+ from 3 all game. Game still a long way from being over but I think USA has found that extra gear and Serbia is exhausted.
