Man that half was tough

Should have been been 2-0

Yeah that was an anomaly but the Sun are very good on defense. The game did go over but it needed a strong second half performance from the Liberty and overtime to get there. The Sun probably feel like the Liberty stole that one which they did coming back from a huge deficit to win the game. Oddly enough the final score landed right on the number in both my bets so the lines were sharp tonight by the bookmaker.

Tonight we have one game between the Sparks and the Dream. I think the game is a pure coin flip so I understand if you want to fade me on this one but I went with the Sparks ML today because I like that they've been playing much better in the last 5 games having won them all. Atlanta is at home and is a good team but the Sparks are in better current form and are surging towards the playoffs. It'll be a close game and you can get the home team at plus money on the ML but for me I went with the team playing better right now.

Nice to get one tonight after the Sparks go down double digits by halftime and had to claw their way back for their 6th straight victory. I'll take it after after last nights loss with the Liberty where I probably should have won that one. Just the way it goes sometimes but it's good to see the Sparks playing better. They're going to be a tough team for one of the favorites to play in the playoffs if they end up making it.

It's almost over. Each team has around 6 games left. The final day of the regular season is September 10th. Then the playoffs go until October so its really winding down.

Are the playoffs easier, harder or about the same in your estimation to handicap compared to the regular season ?

I'm not sure really but the nice thing about the playoffs is you won't have to figure out these bad teams or inconsistent teams as all the 8 teams that make the playoffs are good teams. Hopefully that means its easier to get better reads on the WNBA playoffs like it is for me when I cap the NBA playoffs.

Only one play for me today on tonights two game slate. I decided to play the o169 in the Aces/Mystics game. I lean the Aces to cover here but the way they've played lately I'm not willing to lay doubles with them on the road. I think they could blow out the Mystics here though because the Mystics best players are questionable but I went with the over instead since I think this will be a track meet and the Mystics won't be able to stop the Aces.

I didn't play anything on the Liberty game with the Lynx because I lean the Lynx to beat the spread here at home but I don't trust them and you're only getting 9 points. The Lynx could beat the spread and give the Liberty a game at home but I don't trust the Lynx to come through for me. If I were playing something on this game I think I might consider the under given that the Liberty have really clamped down on defense in the last 10 games but its just a lean for me.

Well I couldn't have been more wrong about the Mystics/Aces game as the Mystics were the ones taking it to the Aces and they won going away 78-62. It seems the Aces have hit a wall and are ready for the season to end so they can focus on winning another championship. I still think they're the team to beat come playoff time but right now they aren't playing well.

Yea... that's the thing. I try to not mess around too much at end of any hoops season. As teams that have secured playoff seed don't have anything to play for. And keeping players healthy becomes more important than ever. Rather risking injuries be4 playoffs.

I only made 1 play today LAA.

I think you can play these games but what I see a lot of cappers do with the WNBA towards the end of season is lower their unit size. I haven't been doing that but I don't bet big amounts anyway so I keep it the same for every bet.

Two plays today for me on this 4 game slate. First I took the Chicago Sky ML because unlike the Storm they're playing to get in the playoffs and I think they will come out with a sense of urgency today. They are on the outside looking in of the playoff race so they need to keep winning to keep pace with the Sparks as they try to overtake them for the last playoff spot.

The last play I have today is Dallas 1H -4.5. I think Dallas is going to blow out Phoenix today because Phoenix has essentially waved the white flag on the season. I took the 1H line here because I think Dallas should come out strong and take a nice lead into halftime. I didn't want to lay 8.5 on the road here just in case Phoenix makes a push at the end enough for there to be a backdoor cover.

1-1 day today as the Sky come back on the Storm to win on the road but the Wings couldn't cover the 1H number. Back at it tomorrow as we get a rare Monday game and its a pretty big one with the Aces and Liberty squaring off again at the Barclays center.

I am on the Liberty ML today but it seems so is everyone else as the Liberty are now a slight favorite after opening a slight underdog. I still think they are the right side in this one for several reasons. They're playing better than the Aces right now for one thing and another being that they're fully healthy. The Aces are looking ahead to the playoffs and being fully rested for the postseason. I think the line is right now with the Liberty being the favorites. I just wish I jumped it last night when they were plus money underdogs on the ML.
