Sorry, that's straight-up murder. So the cop was in fear for his life? From boiling water? From a small woman? From what I saw she didn't advance toward them. He escalated the situation. He didn't even give any time before he unloaded on her.

I'm not a cop hater. As Cincy said, a few bad apples ruin it for everybody.
+1.

Human beings are said to be the most cruel of all living beings. These statements here prove that.
George Floyd did not deserve to die but he wasn't a good person and the Democrats used his death to seize power. The African American community loves to point fingers but they fail to recognize and work on the problems that plague their own people. Single parent households...

Everything gets messed up when politics joins the story.

Someone explain to me what he was supposed to do. Let her throw boiling water on him? It's sad, but when a cop has a gun aimed at your face, you should follow orders.

If, to him, a lady that said she's doing fine because she took her meds that day holding a pot of boiling water is indeed a threat requiring his gun, then what he should have done was call the lady to him and have his partner turn the stove off. There was plenty of time to do that.

But freaking out when she says "I rebuke you" and allowing that situation to escalate is what he's not supposed to do.

This is not my opinion. This is training and he didn't follow it.

I wonder what he would have done if he had known his partner's bodycam was turned on. Clearly he would have done things different as he lied about the scene before he knew there was footage.

I see your point, but let's look at the situation. Lady said she was fine. Next moment she reciting fanatical religious babble telling him I rebuke you.

Is normal or not to get nervous when you see someone act like that? Is it normal to get nervous when she ten picks up a pot of boiling water? Is it normal behavior for her to then drop to the ground and apologize?

This lady was clearly mentally disturbed to say the least. Anyone would feel she was unhinged. I think it was perfectly normal for him to have drawn his gun. Who wouldn't in that situation?

I'm not defending him. Or her. But I understand why that scenario played out like it did.

Yes, but it's the responsibility of that officer, given the info he has, not to allow that scenario to occur.

But he did. He knew what he did was wrong when he did it. He lied about the situation and then found out it was recorded. He lied because he knew he was wrong.

This was like he jumped in front of a moving car and then justified using lethal force.

This is why he's in trouble.

What responsibilities does anyone have to a mad person? It's not his fault she's nuts. If you're in that situation, are you going to let some nutjob throw a pot of.boiling water in your face after they babbled incoherent religious ravings at you?

Situation got out of control for sure, I agree. However, it was her who put them in that situation to begin with. Just follow the orders of the officer who is pointing a gun in your face.

You're not getting it.

It's like he jumped in front of a moving car then justified using lethal force.

Think about that for a bit.

False.

Watch the video from the beginning when they're at her front door. She has a cup of coffee in her hand and appears relaxed. They're chit chatting when everything is nice and calm. Then she.makes a comment that she needs help.

He asked her what do you need help with? She couldn't reply the answer and they go inside. That's when she brought out her crazy face.

She wasn't a moving car at the beginning. She was a parked car that the officer was inspecting until she decided to start up and run him over.

Read my posts again.

Even the part about jumping in front of the car. But especially the part about training.

You asked...

Someone explain to me what he was supposed to do.

I answered. I also explained why he is in trouble.

Give the guy a call, let him know you have a defense planned for the courtroom.

Let us know how it works out.
