Someone explain to me what he was supposed to do. Let her throw boiling water on him? It's sad, but when a cop has a gun aimed at your face, you should follow orders.
If, to him, a lady that said she's doing fine because she took her meds that day holding a pot of boiling water is indeed a threat requiring his gun, then what he should have done was call the lady to him and have his partner turn the stove off. There was plenty of time to do that.
But freaking out when she says "I rebuke you" and allowing that situation to escalate is what he's not supposed to do.
This is not my opinion. This is training and he didn't follow it.
I wonder what he would have done if he had known his partner's bodycam was turned on. Clearly he would have done things different as he lied about the scene before he knew there was footage.
